Exhibition Tour: Stephen Shames「Power to the People」 [ENG/JP]

Take this opportunity to meet Stephen Shames and understand why the Black Panthers are such historic and important organization. The Black Panthers inspired, protected and fought for African American equality and social justice. The Panthers changed the lives of millions, not only in the US, but globally, becoming an inspiration to minority groups all over the world.

As the unofficial “official” photographer for the Panthers, Shames documented this dynamic organization from 1967 to 1973. His close friendship with Bobby Seale (one of the Black Panthers Founders) gave Shames unprecedented access to the unscripted behind-the-scenes moments that provide a unique view of the Panthers.
